Hello everyone and welcome back to the Selfish Column. This week, I thought I had shared something super special and personal with me. In July 2023, I became a mother; it was the most life-changing journey I had ever participated in. As you begin this journey, so much information is thrown at you, especially as a first-time mom and a decision such as what diaper to choose can leave you overwhelmed.
When I first got pregnant so many of the moms I know in my circle suggested Huggies Diapers, but I didn’t think it was such a big deal which diaper I would need in my diaper bag. Nevertheless, I took a different brand to the hospital and ran into some problems. The first problem happened when we took our three-day-old baby home; the ride home from the hospital was about 5 minutes. However, that didn’t stop our new bundle of joy from having a blowout that would leak outside her diaper, staining her welcome home outfit and brand-new car seat. The second problem I encountered was a severe diaper rash a week after being home. I went into action mode and did everything possible to eliminate it within 3 days. We dealt with another diaper rash and a couple of more poopy leaks and even sized upped before realizing that didn’t solve the issue. But once I switched my diaper brand to Huggies both problems stopped. We first started using the Huggies Little Snugglers and once baby girl started moving around, we switched to Little Movers. Since switching to Huggies, I have seen some key positive changes. I have listed these key points below.
- No more blowouts and leaks (6 months going strong)
- Soft quilted material perfect for baby skin.
- No diaper rashes to date
- Increase in absorbency
- Comfortable Stretchy waistband which helps with my active baby
I hope you found my experience helpful. If you have any story or anything mom-related you want to share, comment under this post. To learn more about Huggies, visit their website and check out the Grow with Huggies Canada Instagram page below.
If you made it this far, thank you. Until next time Selfish readers.
