Hello everyone and welcome back to The Selfish Column. I hope you’re having a wonderful week so far. This week I wanted to shift the conversation away from products to a more serious topic. Recently I worked on an article with Style Canada to highlight some community initiative that we can all do to support minority groups in our neighbourhood. I shared some personal stories in the article and elaborated on all of my points that are below. To read the full article please visit Style Canada’s website.
#1: Look at your neighbourhood and ask yourself what you can do to make the Black families near you feel included.
#2: Check out your city hall and its representatives.
#3: Connect with Black Lives Matter organizers and seek ways to support them in your community.
#4: Check out the schools your children attend.
#5: Check out your city’s libraries.
#6: Check your attitude if you’re in a position of leadership.
