Hello everyone, and welcome back to The Selfish Column. Hope everyone had a lovely holiday season with those that matter the most. This month I want to come to you all and talk about something close to my heart. For the holidays I partnered up with an amazing company based here in Calgary by the name of Bracelet 4 Humanity. This company puts together not only beautiful bracelets, but also gives back to communities around the world. I was fortune enough to meet the most caring person by the name Shannon who told me all about the many charities Bracelet For Humanity works with. Currently, their main Charity is Operation Smile, which helps children that were born with cleft lip in Central American receive the necessary surgery for their health. This is so important because cleft lip if not treated can cause long-lasting health concerns and infections in the mouth area for those children effect by it. I love giving back and sharing these stories in the hope to inspire everyone.
Let’s talk about this bracelet which has so much meaning behind it. The main reason I fell in love with this company is the fact that each bracelet is made with so much meaning and thoughts behind it. Each stone on my bracelet has a meaning behind it. For my bracelet, I chose stones that will help me in areas that I struggle with so that when I find myself in that hot spot, I’ll just look at my wrist to remind me to stay focus.
- I choose black onyx for releasing negativity, melancholy, and depression, cause you know I’m trying to do bigs things in 2017 and there is no room for negativity.
- Gold Hematite for memory, focus and concentration.
- Tiger eye for balance grounding and good luck ( I am going to need all the luck in the world).
- Jaguar for ferocity, valor, and fearlessness (cause I wanna run the world and make Tyra Banks proud with my fierce “smizing” all while doing it).
I want to be on top of my game this coming year, and having this little beauty on me will defiantly help me out. The best thing about this bracelet is that it gives back to so many other people in the world. I feel so blessed this past year and can’t wait to see what 2017 not only has in store for me, but for all of you that are reading this. Please check out Bracelet 4 Humility on Facebook and learn more about this amazing company.
Until next time “Selfishers” Have an amazing week.
