Want To Be An Ally? Here’s 6 Non-Performative Actions To Take – With #StyleCanada

Hello everyone and welcome back to The Selfish Column. I hope you’re having a wonderful week so far. This week I wanted to shift the conversation away from products to a more serious topic. Recently I worked on an article with Style Canada to highlight some community initiative that we can all do to support minority groups in our neighbourhood. #1: Look at your neighbourhood and ask yourself what you can do to make the Black families near you feel included.

#2: Check out your city hall and its representatives.

#3: Connect with Black Lives Matter organizers and seek ways to support them in your community.

#4: Check out the schools your children attend.

#5: Check out your city’s libraries.

#6: Check your attitude if you’re in a position of leadership.
